​If you register for a course after the week of August 4, 2017, you will be charged an additional $25 registration fee.

BASIC WATER (14 Week Course)
The Basic Water Course was designed to provide students with a basic understanding in the daily operations of a water treatment facility. By the completion of the Basic Water Course, students should be able to analyze and solve operational problems encountered in operating any type of water treatment facility. The goal of a water treatment plant operator is to produce the highest quality drinking water possible; the goal of this course is to provide the guidance necessary to accomplish that task.


Textbooks Include

  • AWWA - Water Operator Certification Study Guide, Sixth Edition
  • AWWA - WSO Water Treatment, Grade 1


NOTE: Classroom registrations are accepted until September 4, 2017.
Registrations received after August 4, 2017, could result in a September 4, 2017 delivery of textbooks. Until September 4, 2017, classes will be conducted using the OTCO’s Course Workbook, Environmental Math, Recommended Standards and Ohio EPA Regulations.


CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

OTCO makes a decision to offer each course based upon community interest, determined by advanced registration. OTCO reserves the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient enrollment. 

Due to the minimum registration requirements at each location, OTCO has a NO REFUND Policy effective 10 days BEFORE the classroom start date of your class. If a student’s first choice location is cancelled, OTCO will offer a second choice or a full refund for the class. Non-attendance does not mean an automatic withdrawal. You must contact OTCO at (614) 268-6826 to cancel  your registration.

If you are paying by credit card you will receive a credit card receipt via email or regular mail within 5-7 business days.
